Our Learn to Swim program prepares each swimmer with the fundamentals of all swimming strokes and safety skills including body positioning, breath control and kicking.

Having the correct fundamental building blocks to the strokes will allow swimmers to start developing their stroke easier and more efficiently.

☑ Understand safe entries and exits 
☑ Blow bubbles in the water for 5 seconds
☑ Press face in the water for 5 seconds

☑ Jump into the pool and return to the side safely
☑ Float on the back for 5 seconds

Angelfish

☑ Retrieve an object from the pool floor 
☑ Float on the front for 5 seconds
☑ Streamline on the front

☑ Reach and pull on the front for 4 metres
☑ Kick using an aid for 4 metres

☑ Jump into deep water and return to the side safely 
☑ Retrieve an object from the pool floor with eyes open
☑ Streamline on the front and the back

☑ Kick in a streamline on the front for 5 metres
☑ Swim 5 metres with correct body position and basic technique

☑ Swim through a hoop, eyes open with breath    control 
☑ Float controlled on front or back for 7 seconds
☑ Kick in a streamline on the back for 5 metres

☑ Swim 5 metres with correct body position and basic technique on back
☑ Swim 7 metres with correct body position and basic technique on back

☑ Float in a star position (front or back) for 10 seconds 
☑ Swim on front for 5 metres, roll to back then continue for 5 metres
☑ Kick in a streamline on the front for 10 m

☑ Swim 7 metres with correct body position and basic technique on back
☑ Swim 10 metres with correct body position and basic technique on front
